CBMW NEWS: Courtney Reissig, an assistant editor for the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, will speak at a special event at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, March 27.
The event is The Accidental Feminist: Restoring Our Delight in God’s Good Design, which is also the title of Reissig’s forthcoming book.
The book and event will address what it means to live as a Christian woman, and how to see the glory of God’s design. This embrace of God’s design must confront the reality that the feminist movement has exercised a greater influence over Christian women than most people – Christian women included – readily admit. Reissig seeks to show readers and listeners how to define themselves by the expectations of God’s Word rather than by those of the culture.
The March 27 event will also include a panel discussion with Mary Mohler, Rachel Ware, GraceAnna Castleberry, and Reissig.
The Accidental Feminist will begin at 7 p.m., located in Heritage Hall on the campus of Southern Seminary. The event is free, and attendees are encouraged to come early, as seats are limited.
