The Spiritual Power of a Godly Man

by H. B. Charles Jr.

At this year’s CBMW 2016 Pre-Conference, H. B. Charles Jr. shared on the “Spiritual Power of a Godly Man.” In examining Agur’s prayer in Proverbs 30:7-9, Charles’ message was simple: we ought to pray with humble submission for spiritual priorities.

“This is a weak man praying for dependence upon God in every sphere of his life. The spiritual power of a godly man is experienced only when you recognize your own weakness and then live in dependence upon God. This is what the prayer of Agur represents. On on the one hand, he prays for devotion to the truth of God and then he prays with dependence on the God of truth. If you’re to be a godly man, there must be a commitment to the truth.”
