We are excited to announce that we are sponsoring and exhibiting at the ERLC National Conference, which is right around the corner on October 27-29, 2014. We are thrilled about the work of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission and are especially excited about the theme of this year’s conference, “The Gospel, Homosexuality, and the Future of Marriage,” because it strikes so closely to the heart and the mission of CBMW.
In the midst of the current sexual revolution, which is praising the practice of homosexuality and seeking to redefine marriage in a way that is contrary to the gospel, it is incredibly important that we think wisely, not only about the ethics of sexuality and marriage, but also the appropriate remedy and course of action to take as the body of Christ. This is why this conference is so important. For, not only will the ethics of marriage and sexuality be discussed, but this conference will focus on the power of the gospel to change lives for Christ.
We believe that the gospel has the God-appointed power, through the work of the Holy Spirit, to open blind eyes and change hearts. As hearts are brought under the Lordship of Christ, they are given new desires to obey God’s laws and commands. This is why the gospel is so important in this discussion. The gospel is the only hope for all of humanity, because only the gospel brings us into relationship with God. Also, it is our marriages that point to the gospel-wrought relationship of Christ and his church. So the gospel is ultimately the focus of the discussion and the means of change as well!
Another aspect of the conference that is important will be the possibility to meet like-minded saints from friendly churches, ministries, and institutions that you can partner with in ministry for the sake of Christ. There will be plenty of opportunities to pursue partnerships and relationships that will be incredibly strategic for you in the years to come.
So come. Join CBMW at this year’s ERLC National Conference. We look forward to seeing you there! You can register for the conference here.
You, too, can help support the ministry of CBMW. We are a non-profit organization that is fully-funded by individual gifts and ministry partnerships. Your contribution will go directly toward the production of more gospel-centered, church-equipping resources.
