Two leaders of The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (CBMW) will present seminars on gender issues and the pastoral ministry at the 2006 Shepherd’s Conference, set for March 1-5 at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California.

CBMW board chairman J. Ligon Duncan, III, and board member R. Albert Mohler Jr. will keynote the sessions on Saturday, March 4. Duncan serves as senior minister of the historic First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, Mississippi. Mohler serves as president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. CBMW will also offer a complimentary resource to attendees.

John MacArthur, longtime pastor of Grace, asked CBMW to participate in the annual conference. Randy Stinson, CBMW executive director, says he is pleased to partner with a pastor and church that are known across the globe for their uncompromising biblical teaching on issues such as gender roles.

“The Shepherd’s Conference has a tremendous track record for encouraging and edifying pastors,” Stinson said. “CBMW is grateful for the opportunity to join with them in serving pastors who serve the local church.

“Specifically, we want to help these shepherds exhort their churches to model the beauty of God’s good design for biblical manhood and womanhood in the midst of a culture that rejects that design. Few Christian leaders are as gifted in addressing this issue and faithful in contending for it as Al Mohler and Ligon Duncan. Those in attendance will be well served.”
