After several months of excellent leadership of Manual, Lead Editor Brandon Smith has shifted roles within CBMW. He was recently hired as Director of Gospel-Centered Discipleship. Brandon is one of several talented CBMW employees who has drawn attention from other organizations in recent months as the organization has returned fully to the radar. He will remain with us in the very important role of Associate Editor of CBMW.org.

I have asked Grant Castleberry to step into the Lead Editor role. Grant has been Assistant Editor of Manual and has done a terrific job. He doesn’t write often, but when he does, folks take notice. Another writer whose pieces have blessed many is Kyle Worley. Because Kyle has written so profitably and faithfully, I’ve asked him to become Assistant Editor of Manual.

A student at Southwestern Seminary, Kyle is part of CBMW’s burgeoning Texas connection. CBMW now has staff scattered across the country and the denominational terrain; Kyle works under Matt Chandler in Dallas as a pastor. We’re very glad he’s here and know that you’ll benefit from his keen eye and quality writing.

Here’s a bit more about Kyle:

kyle worley CBMWKyle Worley (@kyleworley) is the author of Pitfalls: Along the Path to Young and Reformed and blogs at The Strife. His writing has appeared on The Gospel Coalition, Baptist Press, CBMW, and Gospel-Centered Discipleship.

Kyle serves as Connections Minister at The Village Church Dallas Campus. He holds a double B.A. in Biblical Studies and Philosophy from Dallas Baptist University. He is completing an M.A.Th. in Church History at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and also pursuing an M.A.R at Redeemer Theological Seminary. He is married to Lauren and they both enjoy coffee, reading, and eating Texas barbecue.
