Press Release

—————-

The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood saw giving go up by 21% in 2014 – an increase of almost $40,000 – and plans to respond by providing more resources and reaching more people with the Bible’s teaching on marriage, biblical complementarity, and other related ethical issues, said Grant Castleberry, CBMW’s executive director.

“We are incredibly grateful for God’s graciousness in blessing us this past year,” Castleberry said. “We thank so many whom God has used, who have decided to partner with CBMW. We are humbled and pray that we will be faithful stewards of this investment.”

The stewardship of this significant increase will include launching a podcast addressing major cultural issues and starting a CBMW Fellows program, which will train young leaders to communicate the Bible’s teaching on marriage, manhood, and womanhood winsomely and boldly. CBMW will also overhaul its website, cbmw.org, to make its resources more accessible.

“Local churches across the world are partnering with CBMW, and we have more initiatives to launch than we have staff members to do them,” said Owen Strachan, president of CBMW. “The faithful giving of God’s people in 2014 means that we can launch a number of new programs to push back against the darkness and lend strength and courage to the people of God.”

Planning for these initiatives reach beyond 2015. In the spring of 2016, CBMW will host its first ski conference for young adults and college students at Snowbird, Utah. This will come just prior to the CBMW National Conference in Louisville, KY, which will tackle the theme, “Parenting at the Foot of the Cross.”

In addition to these new endeavors, Strachan will continue to speak at numerous conferences and churches across the country and abroad, and readers can continue to expect quality content on the CBMW website and in its academic journal, the Journal for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
