Miguel Núñez, pastor of International Baptist Church in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is joining the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood’s board of directors. The addition of Núñez reflects CBMW’s commitment to see complementarian teaching reach beyond the borders of the United States.
“Miguel Núñez is a man of God whom I respect immensely,” said Grant Castleberry, CBMW’s executive director. “He is one of the foremost evangelical leaders and Bible teachers in Latin America. I am thrilled that he is joining the CBMW board.”
CBMW President Owen Strachan concurred with Castleberry: “By the grace of God, the ministry that God has established through the work of Miguel Núñez is a powerplant. To see the work in Santo Domingo in person is to come into contact with live gospel current with a global reach. I am personally grateful for Miguel, and I could not be more excited by the impact he will have at CBMW.”
Strachan added: “These are times when believers are tempted to camouflage their convictions so the world won’t notice them. Miguel is a man who wants to raise up a banner for Christ. In twenty years, I forecast that we will look back and thank God that he was used to raise up many more like him, mighty men of God who not only hold their ground, but take some of Satan’s.”
Núñez has been ministering in the Dominican Republic since 1997, when he started a Bible study that has since grown into a church with more than 2,000 people coming to worship on Sunday mornings.
“I am humbled and honored by my appointment as a new member of the Board of CBMW,” said Núñez. “Over 50 million people of Hispanic descent in the United States and over five hundred million people in Latin America need to be influenced by the teaching that is represented by CBMW.”
“We need men and women of courage who are not intimidated,” said Núñez. “CBMW represents well the strength to do just that. I see CBMW as a ministry that is contributing to awakening many people to the beauty and strength of complementarianism. This is a ministry for this current generation. I am truly delighted and privileged to be part of it.”
Much of Núñez’s ministry has been spent facing the increasing cultural confusion head on. He’s done this, in part, through his weekly TV program, “Answers.” The 60-minute program presents the biblical worldview about different issues and topics. He is the author of numerous books, including the recently-released Enseñanzas que Transformaron el Mundo (B&H Español, 2015).

Miguel Núñez, pastor de la Iglesia Bautista Internacional de Santo Domingo en República Dominicana, se ha unido a la junta de directores del Consejo de Masculinidad y Feminidad Bíblica (CBMW por sus siglas en inglés). La integración de Núñez refleja el compromiso de CBMW sobre el alcance de la enseñanza complementaria más allá de las fronteras de Estados Unidos.
El director ejecutivo del concilio CBMW; Grant Castleberry expresó: “Miguel Núñez es un hombre de Dios a quien respeto inmensamente” “El es uno de los líderes evangélicos y maestros de la palabra en Latinoamérica. Estoy muy contento de que se una a la junta del CBMW”.
El presidente del Concilio corroboró con Castleberry: “Por la gracia de Dios, el ministerio que Dios ha establecido a través del trabajo de Miguel Nuñez es un motor con alcance global. El ver la obra en persona en Santo Domingo es estar en contacto con el evangelio vivo. Strachan añadió : “”Estos son tiempos cuando los creyentes se ven tentados a camuflar sus convicciones por lo que el mundo no se dará cuenta de ellos. Miguel es un hombre que quiere levantar una bandera para Cristo. En veinte años, yo pronostico que vamos a mirar hacia atrás y dar gracias a Dios que lo utilizó para levantar muchos más como él , hombres poderosos de Dios que ensanchan su territorio y conquistan terreno de Satanás .”
Núñez ha ministrado en República Dominicana desde 1997, cuando inicio un estudio bíblico que ha crecido en una iglesia con más de 2,000 personas que asisten los Domingos.
“Me siento humilde y honrado por mi nombramiento como nuevo miembro de la Junta de CBMW”, dijo Núñez. “Más de 50 millones de personas de origen hispano en los Estados Unidos y más de quinientos millones de personas en América Latina deben ser influenciados por la enseñanza que está representada por CBMW.”
“Necesitamos hombres y mujeres de valor que no se sienten intimidados”, dijo Núñez. “CBMW representa la fuerza para hacer precisamente eso.Veo CBMW como un ministerio que está contribuyendo en despertar a muchas personas a la belleza y la fuerza del complementarismo. Este es un ministerio para esta generación actual. Estoy realmente encantado y privilegiado de ser parte de esto”.
